Background
Chicago Public Schools (CPS) is seeking to procure high dosage tutoring services to enhance academic success in math for middle and high school students.
The initiative aims to accelerate learning through personalized tutoring, which is deemed critical for improving student performance in targeted subject areas.
Work Details
The contract involves the implementation and management of CPS’ Tutor Corps program, which will provide math tutoring services.
The vendor will be responsible for:
1. Providing a researched-based, standards-aligned curriculum for various math courses including 6th grade math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, II, Geometry, and Integrated Math I-III in both English and Spanish.
2. Developing a cloud-based tutoring platform that accommodates both online and face-to-face instruction tailored to individual student needs.
3. Monitoring multiple metrics to ensure program efficacy including student progress towards skill attainment and instructional quality.
4. Conducting onboarding training for up to 300 tutors annually and co-designing ongoing training and professional development for tutors.
5. Offering program implementation support to address challenges that may arise during the tutoring process.
Period of Performance
The contract has an original term of 12 months with three options to renew for one additional year each, starting from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed within the Chicago Public Schools district.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with M/WBE participation goals as part of the contract requirements.
Vendors are required to maintain appropriate insurance coverage as specified in the solicitation documents.
