Description

Central communications System - Video Gaming act to provide a centralized communication system in which to connect video gaming terminals, site controllers and other related technological components utilized in the video gaming industry.
Background
The Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) is seeking a Vendor to provide a centralized communications system (CCS) to connect 46,400 video gaming terminals (VGTs) and other associated video gaming equipment for regulatory monitoring, oversight, and enforcement actions in 8,400 locations across the state of Illinois.

The IGB is responsible for the administration, regulation, and enforcement of the Video Gaming Act. This contract aims to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of video gaming regulation in Illinois.

Work Details
The awarded Vendor must create, implement, operate, and maintain a CCS capable of securely communicating with and monitoring a minimum of 120,000 VGTs. Specific services include:
- Support during the transition period (12-24 months) for data and hardware transfer between service vendors.
- Monitoring and reporting gaming activity on all VGTs.
- Calculating, collecting, and distributing revenue.
- Providing access to reports in various formats (e.g., Excel, PDF) that can be downloaded quickly.
- Ensuring data updates occur within five-minute intervals.

The CCS must allow monitoring, communication with, and activation or deactivation of VGTs and related technological components utilized in the video gaming industry.

Period of Performance
The contract will have an initial term of five years with an option for two renewals: a three-year renewal followed by a two-year renewal. The total term shall not exceed ten years. The transition phase must be completed within twenty-four months from the contract award date.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed across various locations in the state of Illinois where video gaming terminals are operational.
