Background
The Illinois Secretary of State is seeking bids for the replacement and upgrade of fire alarm panels at three facilities in Chicago. The goal of this project is to enhance facility safety and ensure compliance with Illinois and U.S. fire safety regulations, including National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards and local codes.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, supplies, and incidentals required to replace and upgrade the fire alarm systems at the designated facilities:

- Chicago North (5401 N. Elston Ave)
- Chicago South (9901 S Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr)
- Chicago West (5301 W Lexington St).

This includes:
- Removal and proper disposal of existing fire alarm panels in compliance with environmental standards.
- Delivery, installation, and integration of new fire alarm panels that meet or exceed NFPA standards.
- Securing necessary permits and scheduling required inspections through the City of Chicago’s permitting process.
- Conducting detailed testing and commissioning of newly installed systems to ensure functionality.
- Providing documentation including test results and regulatory approvals prior to project closeout.
- Coordinating activities with the project manager during operational hours (Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM).
- Protecting State property during the project and addressing any damages caused by the Contractor or subcontractors.
- Cleaning up and restoring affected areas post-project completion.

Period of Performance
The contract has an initial term of 3 years upon execution. The total term, including any renewals or extensions, shall not exceed 10 years.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at three facilities located in Chicago:

- 5401 N. Elston Ave
- 9901 S Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr
- 5301 W Lexington St.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be pre-qualified by the State of Illinois Capital Development Board for this type of service. They must have at least 5 years of documented experience in installing fire alarm systems. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid meeting is required.
