2026 Sign Materials
Background
McHenry County is seeking bids for the procurement of sign materials for the year 2026 to support its Division of Transportation. The goal of this contract is to ensure the availability of necessary materials for traffic control and signage, which are essential for maintaining public safety and infrastructure. The procurement process is governed by the McHenry County Purchasing Ordinance, emphasizing fair competition and responsible bidding practices.

Work Details
The contract involves providing various sign materials categorized into ten groups:

1) **Telescoping Steel Sign Posts & U-Channel**: Telescoping steel sign posts must conform to IDOT specifications, with various sizes and gauges specified.

2) **Aluminum Blanks**: Aluminum blanks must meet specific gauge requirements based on size, with domestic metal required.

3) **Sign Material Roll Goods**: Reflective sign sheeting must be from approved manufacturers like 3M.

4) **Sign Faces**: All sign faces should have protective overlay film applied.

5) **Plotter and Printer Supplies**: Includes a roll-fed cutting plotter and HP ink cartridges for printing needs.

6) **Roll Up Warning Sign Assemblies**: Roll-up warning signs must be made from specified reflective materials.

7) **Traffic Control Devices**: Traffic control devices such as barricade bases must meet defined specifications.

8) **Sign Mounting Hardware**: Mounting hardware must be made from domestic steel with specific grades.

9) **Sign Installation Tools**: Installation tools including a gas-powered post driver are required.

10) **Aluminum Sign Channel**: Aluminum channels must be delivered in specified lengths.

Period of Performance
