The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, Bureau of Laboratories operates a full-service public health laboratory in Boise, Idaho. Work Details
The contractor will provide Pipette Service and Calibration, including:
1. Use certified technicians for all maintenance and repair services.
2. Perform cleaning, repair, calibration (with label), and certification of the pipettes listed in Attachment A – Pipette Inventory.
3. Provide a Certificate of Pipette Calibration for each serviced pipette.
4. Ensure calibrations are accredited per ISO 17025:2005 or equivalent standard.
5. Adjust pipettes to manufacturer or Department tolerances using standards traceable to NIST.
6. Conduct one full onsite service and repair visit per year for the 210 pipettes listed in Attachment A.
7. Services must be performed during normal working hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM MT, Monday through Friday).
8. Provide all required testing materials and certified equipment for services.
9. Inspect pipettes thoroughly to determine if additional services are needed.
Period of Performance
The initial contract term is anticipated to be three years, with the possibility of extending for up to two additional years, not exceeding a total of five years.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the Idaho Bureau of Laboratories located at 2220 Old Penitentiary Road, Boise, ID 83712.
Bidder Requirements
The contractor must maintain various insurances including:
1. Commercial General Liability Insurance with limits not less than $1 million each occurrence.
2. Commercial Automobile Liability Insurance with limits not less than $1 million each accident (if applicable).
3. Workers Compensation Insurance with limits not less than $1 million each accident.
4. The contractor must provide proof that the State of Idaho is named as an additional insured on liability policies.
