New/Unused Biosolids Trailer (TMS 116)

Background
The City of Boise, Idaho, is seeking bids for the procurement of a new/unused trailer specifically designed to haul biosolids materials. This initiative is part of the city's efforts to manage waste effectively and support environmental sustainability. The trailer will be used to transport biosolids from the West Boise Water Renewal Facility to the Twenty Mile South Farm.

Work Details
The contract involves the procurement of one (1) new/unused biosolids hauling trailer that meets the following minimum specifications:

- 2024 or newer model with a minimum 34-ton net weight capacity.
- Equipped with a self-unloading conveyor that is 48 inches wide and features a fully side-hinged door.
- Includes a PTO power unit to operate the rear door conveyor, double row marker lights, and a lift axle with electrical power operation.
- The trailer must have a height of 82 inches on the sides and an overall height of 11 feet, with an arched load shedder.
- Dimensions: Length - 53 feet; Width - 102 inches.
- Constructed from high tensile steel and aluminum components, including heavy-duty extruded aluminum top and bottom rails.
- Must comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards and include LED lighting for all necessary signals.
- A minimum warranty of five years on the trailer and one year on the unloading system is required.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within a timeframe that allows for delivery before the bid closing date of August 21, 2024.

Place of Performance
The trailer will be delivered to the City of Boise, Idaho, specifically for use at the West Boise Water Renewal Facility and Twenty Mile South Farm.
