ISDA Temporary Staffing Services

Background
The Idaho State Department of Agriculture (ISDA), through the Idaho Division of Purchasing (DOP), is seeking bids from qualified vendors for temporary staffing services.
The goal is to procure short- and long-term qualified contract staff to fulfill various roles in Plant Industries and Fruit & Vegetable Inspection, as well as office and clerical needs across ISDA's four districts.
This contract aims to ensure that ISDA can meet its operational demands effectively.

Work Details
The contractor will provide temporary staffing services including:
1. Inspector 1 - Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
- Responsibilities include working in high-volume production settings, operating forklifts, grading products, sampling commodities, and maintaining safety standards. Forklift Operator Certification is required prior to job-specific training.
2. Grading/Raw Lab Technician - Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
- Duties involve examining products for quality standards and maintaining accurate records.
3. Sampling positions - Responsibilities include taking samples according to specific procedures and may require physical labor.
4. Seed Inspection - Inspecting seed potatoes for certification and maintaining records.
5. Office Clerk - Performing basic clerical tasks with close supervision.
6. Field Inspector - Responsible for examining crop fields for pests and pathogens, requiring travel between locations.
7. PCN Soil Sampler - Collecting soil samples under specific protocols.
The contractor must ensure that all staff meet the minimum qualifications outlined in the solicitation, including physical requirements and necessary certifications.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract is one year, with the possibility of renewal up to a total of five years upon mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed across ISDA's four districts in Idaho, specifically in areas such as Boise, Caldwell, Fruitland, Nampa, Parma, Weiser, American Falls, Burley, Twin Falls, Blackfoot, Idaho Falls, Ashton, Rexburg, Shelley.
