Background
The City of Boise, Idaho, is seeking proposals for Custom Harvesting Services to support agricultural operations. The goal of this contract is to efficiently harvest wheat grain from a specified area, ensuring the needs of the citizens of Boise are met while adhering to local agricultural practices.
Work Details
The contractor will provide Custom Harvesting services for up to 1,033 acres, which includes 1,017 acres of irrigated land and up to 16 acres of non-irrigated land. The harvesting will involve:
- Weighing the harvested wheat grain at the 20 Mile South Farm truck scale.
- Transporting the harvested grain to a storage facility located approximately fifteen (15) miles away from the farm.
The irrigated acreage consists of seven (7) full circle center pivot fields and one (1) mini pivot totaling around 1,001 acres, along with several irrigated pivot corners. The non-irrigated acreage consists of corners around large center pivots that may not be combined depending on estimated yield.
Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to be completed by April 15, 2026.
Place of Performance
The services will be performed in Boise, Idaho, specifically at the designated agricultural fields and the storage facility located approximately fifteen (15) miles from the farm.
