Area Agency on Aging Designation - North & Eastern Idaho

Background
The Idaho Commission on Aging is seeking proposals for the designation of an Area Agency on Aging in Northern and Eastern Idaho. This initiative aims to enhance services for older adults, ensuring they receive necessary support and resources in their communities.

The contract's goal is to implement programs that align with the Older Americans Act and the Idaho Senior Services Act, focusing on improving the quality of life for seniors in these regions.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing various services under the Area Agency on Aging designation, including but not limited to:
- Annual reporting on service volumes and investigation rates related to rural clients.
- Delivery of supportive services such as respite care, homemaker services, home-delivered meals, congregate meals, health promotions, outreach, information and assistance, transportation, and legal assistance.
- Ensuring a percentage of services are directed towards rural clients.
- Managing subcontractors and ensuring compliance with reimbursement rates per unit delivered.
- Developing a cost proposal that includes salaries, building utilities, travel expenses, vehicle costs, equipment procurement, supplies acquisition, contractual obligations, and other operational costs.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on July 1, 2026, and conclude on June 30, 2027.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed in Northern and Eastern Idaho.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with specific requirements including M/WBE certifications if applicable. They must also ensure that all subcontractors meet the necessary qualifications as outlined in the proposal.
