Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrades, Contract 1-2026, Village of Barrington, Illinois

Scope of Work:
The contract involves comprehensive upgrades and modifications to the Village of Barrington's Wastewater Treatment Plant. The work to be completed includes:

• Modifications to the existing Control Building (Structure 10), featuring installation of new mechanical fine screens, wash presses, and dry-well influent pumps.
• Construction of a new influent flow splitter structure (Structure 15).
• Upgrades to the primary clarifiers (Structure 15), aeration tanks (Structure 20), existing final clarifiers (Structure 35), and aerobic digesters with the adjacent piping gallery (Structure 55).
• Construction of two new final clarifiers and a mixed liquor splitter structure (Structure 25).
• Building a new Cascade Aeration Structure (Structure 33) and Blower Building (Structure 40).
• Modifications to the existing Filter Building (Structure 30), including installation of new tertiary filters, ultraviolet disinfection equipment, and non-potable water pumping equipment.
• Conversion of an unused final clarifier to a waste activated sludge gravity thickener (Structure 50).
• Upgrades to the existing Dewatering Building (Structure 60), including installation of a new dewatering centrifuge.
• Construction of a new Administration Building (Structure 90).
• Demolition of several existing structures.
• Miscellaneous site improvements, including piping, mechanical, heating and air conditioning, electrical, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems.
