Statewide Locksmith Services

Background
The Iowa Department of Transportation (IDOT) is seeking competitive quotes for locksmithing services across more than 100 statewide locations. The goal of this contract is to ensure the maintenance and availability of locksmith services as outlined in the specifications and scope detailed in the associated documents. This initiative aims to support IDOT's operational needs by providing timely and efficient locksmith services.

Work Details
The contractor will provide locksmith services including:
1. Repairing, removing, and replacing cores.
2. Pinning of new cores.
3. Combining the cores to the keys.
4. Re-keying existing cores.
5. Duplication of keys.
6. Troubleshooting lock issues and determining necessary equipment/materials for repairs.

Additionally, the contractor will maintain a stock of specific key blanks and cylinders as per the provided specifications:
- Key Blanks: WH Series Key Blank (Model 1AP1WH1KS594KS800) and X1W Series Key Blank (Model 1AX1X1W1KS717KS699).
- Cylinders: WH Series Core (Model 1CP7WH1-626) and X1W Series Core (Model 1CX7X1W1626).

Emergency services will also be included, requiring a response time within two hours after request.

Period of Performance
The contract will be awarded for one year with an option to renew for five additional years in twelve-month increments.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at over 100 IDOT locations statewide in Iowa.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must maintain insurance coverage as specified in the Standard Terms and Conditions. They are required to certify their understanding and acceptance of all terms outlined in the solicitation documents.
