Snow Removal Services - Dubuque County Sites

Background
The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) is seeking competitive quotes from qualified contractors to provide snow removal services at two separate locations in Dubuque County. The goal of this contract is to ensure safe and accessible roadways during winter weather conditions.

Work Details
The contractor will provide snow removal services at the following locations:

1) St. Joseph’s Drive, approximately 0.04 centerline miles of paved frontage road for IA 3 WB (westbound), located near milepost 311.58 east of the City of Rickardville, Iowa. Services include plowing and treating with chemicals as needed, with a cost per trip during a snow event or as requested by the DOT Area Supervisor.

2) Lehmann Road, approximately 0.55 centerline miles of aggregate (gravel) road for US 20 WB (westbound), located near milepost 301 east of the City of Farley, Iowa. Services include plowing and treating with abrasive materials only (no deicing chemicals allowed), also with a cost per trip during a snow event or as requested by the DOT Area Supervisor.

Period of Performance
The contract will be awarded for one year with an option to renew for five additional years in twelve-month increments, at the sole discretion of the Iowa DOT.

Place of Performance
Dubuque County, Iowa, specifically at St. Joseph’s Drive and Lehmann Road.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must certify that they have read, understood, and accepted all terms outlined in the solicitation. The successful contractor will be required to maintain insurance coverage as specified in the Standard Terms and Conditions.
