Sand (Aggregate for Ice Control) FY26

Background
The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) is seeking competitive bids from qualified vendors for the delivery of sand (aggregate) for ice control for the fiscal year 2026.
The Iowa DOT's mission is to ensure safe and efficient transportation systems, and this contract aims to support their winter maintenance operations by providing necessary materials for ice control.

Work Details
The contract involves the delivery of various quantities of sand (aggregate) for ice control across multiple locations in Iowa.
The estimated quantities include:
- 200 tons to Latimer
- 300 tons to West Union
- 100 tons to Williams
- 800 tons to Charles City
- 800 tons to New Hampton
- 500 tons to Decorah
- 200 tons to Cresco
- 500 tons to Waukon
- 100 tons to Urbana
- 100 tons to Independence.
Deliveries are required to be F.O.B Destination. The exact amount of sand purchased will depend on funding and final approval from the Iowa DOT, with no guaranteed minimum purchases.

Period of Performance
The initial contract term will be from July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026, with an option to renew for five additional years in twelve-month increments.

Place of Performance
Deliveries will be made to various locations in Iowa including Latimer, West Union, Williams, Charles City, New Hampton, Decorah, Cresco, Waukon, Urbana, and Independence.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must certify that they have read and accept all terms outlined in the solicitation. There are no specific set-aside certifications mentioned.
