Promega DNA Amplification Chemistry Kits

Background
The Iowa Department of Administrative Services, on behalf of the Iowa Department of Public Safety, is seeking eligible Bidders to provide Promega DNA Amplification Chemistry Kits. This initiative aims to support the development of convicted offender DNA profiles for Iowa's database, utilizing Promega brand products that have been validated in the DCI Crime Lab's database DNA laboratory.

Work Details
The contract involves providing various Promega DNA Amplification Chemistry Kits and related products necessary for forensic use. Specific items requested include:

- WEN International Lane Standard 500 (200ul)
- PowerPlex 5C Matrix Standard
- 1.2 Round-Bottom Deep Well Plate
- 2800M Control DNA
- Slicprep (TM) 96 Device (10 pk)
- CC5 Internal Lane Standard 500 (300 UL)
- WEN Internal Lane Standard 600 (150ul)
- PowerPlex Fusion System (200rxn and 800rxn)
- 5X AmpSolution (TM) Reagent (500ul)
- Microtube (1.5ml, 1000/bag)
- SwabSolution (TM) Kit
- PowerPlex (R) 4C Matrix Standard
- PowerPlex (R) 5C Matrix Standard.

The successful bidder must ensure all products meet specifications for forensic use as approved by the FBI’s National DNA Index System (NDIS). Additionally, any substitute items must be of equal or better quality than the awarded item and require mutual agreement prior to delivery.

Period of Performance
The contract term will begin on June 1, 2026, and end on May 31, 2027. The agency has the option to renew the contract for up to five annual extensions.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed within the State of Iowa.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide Promega brand items exclusively as specified in the solicitation. They are required to disclose any pricing restrictions or volume discounts in their bid response. Bidders must also comply with all terms outlined in the RFB process and are advised to submit certifications regarding their bids.
