Landscaping and Tree Services for Iowa School for the Deaf

Background
The Iowa School for the Deaf is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive landscaping and tree services. The goal of this contract is to maintain and enhance the aesthetic and functional quality of the school grounds through various landscaping activities.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to perform the following landscaping services:

1. Fertilizer with Pre-emergent and broadleaf weed control for a total area of 638,000 sq. ft.

2. Fertilizer with preventative grub worm insecticide and broadleaf weed control for an area of 100,000 sq. ft.

3. Fall aeration services to relieve soil compaction for areas totaling 538,000 sq. ft.

4. Over-seeding with a turf-type fescue/bluegrass mix at a recommended rate of no less than 2 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft., specifically for areas totaling 538,000 sq. ft., including the football field and practice field along Harry Langdon.

5. Tree-trimming services as requested throughout the contract period.
