K-5 Literacy Instructional Materials

Background
The Iowa Department of Education seeks to find a High-Quality Literacy Instructional Materials for Grades K-5 to be used in Iowa districts. These instructional materials must align with the Iowa Core Literacy Standards and provide professional development for educators to implement successfully.

Work Details
The successful Respondent shall provide language arts/literacy program that meets specific criteria, including alignment with the Iowa Core Literacy Standards, content-rich core curriculum with effective evidence-based teaching practices, universal instruction aligned with Scarborough's Rope and the 5 Pillars of Reading Instruction, opportunities for differentiation and intensification, personalized plan for districts based on needs and technology, access to manuals and instructional materials using a learning management system, decodable readers for students, explicit encoding instruction in writing, complex, knowledge-based text for shared reading experiences, intervention and progress monitoring materials, diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments, authentic writing opportunities connected to reading components, resources to engage multiple modalities with collaboration opportunities for students, high-quality job-embedded teacher support and training.

Period of Performance
The Respondent shall guarantee in writing that the goods and/or services offered in the Proposal are currently available and that all Proposal terms, including price, will remain firm for 120 days following the deadline for submitting Proposals. The contract will cover an initial term and extensions over a 6-year period.
