Herbicide and Fertilizer for ISU Western Research Farm

Background
Iowa State University of Science and Technology (ISU) is seeking qualified contractors to provide delivery and custom application of herbicides and liquid/dry fertilizer at the ISU Western Research Farm located in Castana, IA. The goal of this contract is to support agricultural research by ensuring timely and effective application of necessary agricultural chemicals.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for delivering and applying the following products:

1. Urea 46-0-0-0 - 3.36 tons for 60 acres
2. AMS 21-0-0-24 - 1.26 tons for 60 acres
3. N stabilizer - 3.47 gallons for 60 acres
4. Cart Rental - 4.62 tons
5. NH3 (165# actual N) - 7.638 tons for 76 acres
6. Liquid 4-10-10-2.5-.25 - 1.52 tons for 76 acres
7. Additional products including DAP, Potash, Zn, Kapre Impact, various herbicides (e.g., Tricor, Buccaneer), and application services across multiple crop types including corn and soybeans.

The contractor must ensure that all applications are performed according to product label directions and that material safety data sheets accompany all deliveries.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed during the spring through fall seasons, with specific timing dependent on weather and field conditions.

Iowa State University Western Research Farm, located at 36515 Hwy E34, Castana, IA.

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must have a commercial pesticide applicators license in Categories 1A or 1B. Additionally, they must maintain specified insurance coverages including general liability, automobile liability, workers' compensation, and excess liability as outlined in the solicitation documents.
