DOT AI-Enhanced Continuous Count Sites

Background
The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) is seeking qualified bidders to provide artificial intelligence-enhanced roadside units for continuous traffic count sites. The goal of this contract is to implement an Artificial Intelligence-driven traffic monitoring system that allows for constant monitoring of traffic at designated sites. The successful bidder will supply units for a pilot program at 1 to 4 sites, with performance assessments determining future deployment.

Work Details
The contractor will provide artificial intelligence-enhanced roadside units (AICCS Units) for traffic monitoring. These units are expected to be installed by DOT personnel following the bidder's instructions. The contract does not guarantee minimum purchases, and actual needs may vary throughout the contract period. The successful bidder must also provide warranties and support as specified in the solicitation.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract is five (5) years from the date of execution, with an option for up to five (5) additional one-year renewals at the State's discretion.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed in Iowa, specifically at designated continuous count sites as determined by the Iowa DOT.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate capabilities and resources to provide the required AICCS Units. They are required to comply with administrative terms, insurance requirements, and other specified conditions. The resulting contract will be available to state and local governments, government subdivisions, and non-profit organizations as permissible under law.
