Background
The State of Iowa is seeking qualified bidders to provide building automation (BAS) products, services, installation, and ongoing support for monitoring and controlling mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems at State owned and leased locations throughout Iowa.
The systems must provide centralized control, monitoring, data collection, and optimization of HVAC, lighting, and energy management systems. The resulting contract(s) will be an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for building automation goods and services.
Work Details
Bidders must furnish labor, materials, equipment, supervision, testing, and incidentals for task orders issued under this Agreement.
Individual task orders will define specific work locations, drawings (if any), quantities, schedules, and deliverables. The Bidder must be authorized by the manufacturer to resell and install products. All labor, parts, and materials must meet current standards from organizations such as ASTM, ANSI, UL, IEEE, as well as Iowa building and fire codes.
The Bidder must ensure compliance with OSHA standards during all work. Additionally, the Bidder is responsible for maintaining sufficient inventory of materials to meet demand and must respond to service requests within two hours after notification of an emergency call. A warranty period of one year from service is required for all work performed under the contract.
Period of Performance
The contract term will begin on June 1, 2026 and end on May 31, 2027. The Agency has the option to renew the contract for up to five annual extensions.
Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various State owned and leased locations throughout Iowa.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess sufficient resources to handle multiple State jobs simultaneously and have necessary personnel with required certifications and licenses.
Bidders are required to include documentation validating experience along with three business references. The successful Bidder will also need to register to do business in Iowa before payment can be made.
