Adair Salt Storage Building Over Existing L Panels

Background
The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) is seeking competitive bids for the construction of a salt storage building over existing L panels at the Adair Maintenance Garage located at 300 Hillcrest R2, Adair, IA.

The goal of this contract is to replace the existing salt storage hoop building with a new structure that meets current needs and standards.

Work Details
The project consists of the demolition and removal of the existing salt storage hoop building and the construction of a new wood pole building. The new building will be constructed on top of existing precast L panels and will feature metal panel siding and a metal panel roof.

The total capacity for the new salt storage building is 1200 tons.

Period of Performance
The estimated start date for the contract is on or after July 2, 2025, with a substantial completion date set for 115 days from the Notice to Proceed announcement.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Adair Maintenance Garage located at 300 Hillcrest R2, Adair, IA.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with Iowa DOT's procedures and requirements as established in Iowa Administrative Code 761--20. There are no specific set-aside certifications mentioned in the solicitation.
