2025 Sewer Lateral & Nuisance Water Service Repair Program

Background
The City of Davenport is seeking bids from qualified vendors for the 2025 Sewer Lateral & Nuisance Water Service Repairs Program. This program aims to repair and/or remove and replace sanitary sewer laterals and connections of various materials and sizes. It will also address repairs to nuisance water services as directed by the City. The work will take place in multiple locations throughout the City of Davenport.

Work Details
The proposed work includes all labor, materials, tools, supplies, utility and transportation services, equipment, and all incidentals necessary for the 2025 Sewer Lateral & Nuisance Water Service Repair Program. Specific tasks include:
1. Removing concrete or asphalt pavements (including roadways, driveways, or sidewalks).
2. Excavation for repair and/or replacement of sanitary sewer laterals of various materials.
3. Repairing or replacing sanitary wyes as necessary.
4. Backfilling excavations with compacted crushed rock or soil.
5. Replacing pavements and seeding disturbed areas.
6. Repairing private water services that cause a nuisance on City property separate from sewer lateral repairs.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall begin repair work promptly after assignment by the City of Davenport, with all work to be completed within ten (10) working days following contractor notification.

Place of Performance
Work will be conducted in multiple locations throughout the City of Davenport, Iowa.

Bidder Requirements
Bids over $100,000 must include a Bid Bond of 5% of the bid amount and a Performance Bond equal to 100% of the contract amount upon award. Bidders must provide a Certificate of Insurance for General Liability, Workers Compensation, and Vehicle insurance coverages as specified in the General Contract Conditions.
