Women's Community Correctional Center Laundry Expansion and Enhancements

Background
The Women's Community Correctional Center Laundry Expansion and Enhancements project is initiated by the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation of the State of Hawai‘i. The project aims to expand and improve the laundry facilities at the Women's Community Correctional Center located in Kailua, Oahu, Hawai‘i. This expansion is part of the agency's mission to enhance rehabilitation services and operational efficiency within correctional facilities.

Work Details
The contract involves the construction of a laundry expansion and related improvements at the Women's Community Correctional Center. Specific tasks include:
- Selective demolition as per Section 02070.
- Installation of asphaltic concrete paving as per Section 02740.
- Cast-in-place concrete work as per Section 03300.
- Installation of overhead rolling service doors as per Section 08331.
- Painting work as per Section 09901.
- Provision and installation of commercial laundry equipment as specified in Section 11451.
- Compliance with mechanical general requirements, plumbing, ventilation, and testing and balancing of air systems as outlined in Sections 15000, 15400, 15804, and 15990 respectively.

Period of Performance
The performance period for this contract is expected to commence upon award and is stipulated in the COST, TIME AND SCHEDULE article of Attachment A. The completion date will be defined based on the project schedule provided by the awarded contractor.
