To Provide Assessments, Remediation, and Replacements of Photovoltaic (PV) Systems for Heat Abatement Air Conditioning Units at Various Schools on the Island of Kauai

Background
The Hawaii Department of Education (HIDOE) is a single school district serving approximately 180,000 students across 256 public schools. Under the HIDOE’s Heat Abatement Program, air conditioning units powered by solar photovoltaic (PV) systems have been installed at various schools on the islands of Oahu, Maui, and Kauai. This RFP aims to address the need for repair and maintenance services for these PV systems specifically on the island of Kauai.

Work Details
The contractor will provide assessments, remediation, and replacements of photovoltaic (PV) systems for heat abatement air conditioning units at various schools on the island of Kauai. The scope includes as-needed repair or maintenance services for malfunctioning PV systems as authorized by HIDOE. The contract will be of indefinite quantity, meaning that work will be performed as needed based on requests from HIDOE.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on or about June 2, 2025, following the award process which begins with proposal evaluations from April 4 to April 10, 2025. The exact duration of the contract will depend on the needs outlined by HIDOE.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various schools located on the island of Kauai.
