Termite Fumigation for Kula Elementery - Buildings E & F

Background
The State of Hawaii, through the Department of Accounting and General Services, is issuing this solicitation for termite fumigation services on behalf of the Department of Education. The goal of this contract is to provide effective drywood termite fumigation treatment for Kula Elementary School's buildings E and F, ensuring a pest-free environment conducive to educational activities.

Work Details
The contractor is required to furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supplies necessary for the drywood termite fumigation (tent) treatment of the following school buildings: Kula Elementary Building E (single story) and Building F (two story). The work must comply with Specification Section 10291 and include the following key requirements:

- Guarantee workmanship, materials, and effectiveness of treatment for one year from acceptance.
- Submit Fumiscope readings showing dosage adjustments.
- Schedule tenting during school breaks, weekends, or holidays with at least three weeks' notice to school administration.
- Follow all applicable laws and regulations regarding pest control.
- Use sulfuryl fluoride (Vikane) as the fumigant and ensure no asbestos-containing materials are used.
- Ensure safety measures including posting security guards during fumigation and checking for gas leaks.
- Complete a thorough inspection prior to fumigation to identify items needing removal (e.g., plants, animals, food).
- Maintain a clean work site post-completion.

Period of Performance
All work must be completed by July 31, 2025.
