S10917 Repaint Exterior And Window Replacement At Aloha Tower

Background
The State of Hawaii, Department of Transportation, is issuing a contract for the repainting of the exterior and window replacement at Aloha Tower, located at Honolulu Harbor, Oahu, Hawaii. This project aims to enhance the structural integrity and aesthetic appeal of the Aloha Tower, which is a significant landmark in the area.

The estimated cost of construction is between $2,000,000 and $2,700,000.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1) Repainting the entire exterior of Aloha Tower;
2) Replacement of aluminum windows on Floors 3-8;
3) Concrete spall repair as required;
4) Repainting of ground level;
5) Mobilization and demobilization;
6) Providing a site-specific Best Management Practices (BMP) Plan;
7) Lead Paint Control Measures;
8) Removal and Disposal of Asbestos Containing Materials;
9) Selective Demolition;
10) Installation of ceramic tile;
11) Cement plastering;
12) Concrete repair work including patching compounds and reinforcing steel coating.

The contractor must ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards throughout the project.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon issuance of the notice to proceed and must be completed by July 2026.

The work will be performed at Aloha Tower, located at 1 Aloha Tower Drive, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii General Building B license at the time of bidding. Additionally, compliance with HRS § 103B-3 requires that a minimum of 80% of the workforce on this project consists of Hawaii residents. Bidders are also encouraged to have apprenticeship agreements for a five percent bid adjustment.
