Rehabilitation Of Numana Road Bridge Over Kalihi Stream, Bridge No. 129

Background
The City and County of Honolulu's Department of Design and Construction is issuing this solicitation for the Rehabilitation of Numana Road Bridge Over Kalihi Stream, Bridge No. 129, located in Oahu, Hawaii.
The project aims to enhance the structural integrity and safety of the bridge, which is critical for local transportation and community connectivity.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Demolition and removal of existing structures as needed.
2. Installation of new bridge structural steel and concrete.
3. Replacement or repair of bridge railings as specified in the plans.
4. Concrete spall repair on the bridge substructure (8 square feet).
5. Crack repair using CRM (80 linear feet).
6. Void repair using CRM (6 cubic feet).
7. Installation of guardrails and transitions (117 linear feet).
8. Installation of directional, regulatory, and warning signs as per specifications.
9. Application of paints and coatings as required.
10. Placement of asphalt concrete pavement (4 tons) according to city mix specifications.
11. Traffic control measures during construction, including a maximum closure period of 120 consecutive calendar days or 150 calendar days without closure.
12. Environmental pollution control measures must be implemented throughout the project duration.
13. Lead-containing paint control measures must be adhered to during work activities.
14. Submission of as-built drawings upon project completion.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to be completed within 270 consecutive calendar days from the official commencement date indicated in the Notice to Proceed (NTP), which is anticipated to be issued within 365 calendar days following contract execution.
