Provide Over Height Detection Equipment for Tunnel Facilities

Background
The State Department of Transportation's Tunnel Operations Section is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Pali, Wilson, and H-3 tunnels, as well as the Punahou pump station. The goal of this contract is to provide over height detection equipment to warn drivers of vehicles exceeding tunnel height limits.

Work Details
The vendor shall provide the following over height detection equipment:

1. Six (6) Over Height Detector sets (dual beam direction discerning detection system, source and detector), Trigg DB-R/IR-3200 or preapproved equal, including specifications such as:
- 120 VAC, 50/60HZ, 0.121A Source, 0.390A Detector
- Alarm output: two dry relay contact closures, Form C, contacts rated 115VAC 10A and protected by an 8A circuit breaker
- Fault output: dry relay contact opening, Form C, contacts rated 115VAC 10A and protected by an 8A circuit breaker
- Adjustable alarm from 1 to 30 seconds
- NEMA 6P enclosure rated sensors
- Maximum range of 800 feet
- Reaction speed of 1mph to 75mph for a specified object
- Temperature range of -40 deg F to 135 deg F
- Heavy ALMAG casting and sheet aluminum housing.

2. Twelve (12) Three-Axis Mounts, Trigg TG-3AM or preapproved equal.
3. Twelve (12) Pole Mount Brackets, Trigg PMB-500 or preapproved equal.
4. Manufacturer’s data sheet with complete specifications on the equipment prior to contract award.
5. A time schedule for manufacture and delivery from the date of purchase approval.
6. Delivery to H-3 Tunnels Halawa Side, Traffic Control Center.
7. A performance guarantee for a minimum of two (2) years from acceptance by the State with replacement of any defective parts.

Period of Performance
The vendor must complete delivery within 120 calendar days from the issuance of the purchase order.

Place of Performance
H-3 Tunnels Halawa Side, Traffic Control Center.

Bidder Requirements
The vendor must be licensed to do business in Hawaii and provide proof of qualification to perform the specified work.
