Notice Of And Request For Sole Source

The County of Hawaii is seeking to procure Engineer of Record (EOR) services for the Hilo Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Rehabilitation and Replacement Project. The work to be performed under this contract involves providing professional engineering services necessary for the rehabilitation and replacement of the Hilo WWTP. These services are to be obtained specifically from Carollo Engineers, Inc., as indicated in the attached request for sole source procurement. This procurement is initiated by the County of Hawaii, which has determined that Carollo Engineers, Inc. is the sole provider capable of delivering the required EOR services for this project. The contract is intended to support the ongoing efforts to rehabilitate and replace critical infrastructure at the Hilo WWTP, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and the continued safe operation of the facility. Vendors who wish to object to this Notice of Sole Source must submit their written objections through Public Purchase prior to the end date of the request. Objections must be addressed to the Chief Procurement Officer and must provide sufficient basis to support the objection. Written objections received in response to this notice will place the sole source request on hold. The procurement officer will then review the objection and provide a written determination to the objecting party. It is important to note that responses to this notice will not be considered as proposals, bids, or quotes.
