Leadership Coaching

Background
The Department of Human Services is seeking a contractor to provide leadership coaching to its Branch Administrators and Staff Officers team. The goal of this contract is to enhance the leadership skills and competencies of the team members, particularly in the context of Medicaid leadership within Hawaii. The contractor must have extensive experience in coaching Medicaid leaders at a national level and familiarity with Hawaii's Medicaid program.

Work Details
The contractor will provide leadership coaching over a period of 12 months, with the option to extend as necessary. Key responsibilities include:

1. Leadership Coaching: Support senior leadership team members ('coachees') in achieving their specific leadership development goals through reinforcement of leadership models, practicing new skills, troubleshooting issues, and fostering professional growth.

2. Development Plan Creation: Develop individualized development plans for each coachee using assessment tools like MBTI. Conduct monthly coaching sessions lasting at least 45 minutes each, and facilitate a session with both the coachee and their supervisor to discuss goals and feedback expectations.

3. Supervisor Session: Conduct a session involving the coachee and their supervisor to establish a foundation for ongoing coaching.

Deliverables include identifying individualized development plans, conducting monthly sessions, and facilitating supervisor meetings.

Period of Performance
The contract engagement is anticipated to begin on October 1, 2024, and conclude on September 30, 2025.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed in Hawaii.
