Kolowalu Park Playground Upgrades

Background
The Hawaii Community Development Authority (HCDA) is a body corporate and public instrumentality of the State of Hawaii, administratively attached to the State of Hawaii’s Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism. The HCDA is the fee simple landowner of the Kolowalu Park property located at Oahu Tax Map Key (TMK) Nos. (1) 2-3-004-080 and (1) 2-3-004-076 in the Kakaako Community Development District (KCDD). The Kolowalu Park exists on both sides of Queen Street, mauka side and makai side respectively. The HCDA has received funding to upgrade the existing playground.

Work Details
The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, equipment, tools, supplies, and material to upgrade the playground in the Makai Park. The work includes layout/preparation and site security, removal of existing playground structure and play surface, removal of existing tree and tree well, installation of new play surface for outdoor playground equipment, installation of new playground equipment, installation of outdoor furniture - trash cans, play surface independent testing, new signage, permits acquisition, submittals provision, as-builts preparation.
All hardware, supports, and other accessories necessary to install the items listed in this solicitation shall be provided by the Contractor.

Period of Performance
The contract shall be for a period six consecutive months from the date of the Notice to Proceed (NTP) letter issued by the HCDA with one option to extend for an additional six-month period or portion thereof for a potential maximum term totaling 12 months.

Place of Performance
The geographic location(s) where the contract will be performed is at Kolowalu Park located at Oahu Tax Map Key (TMK) Nos. (1) 2-3-004-080 and (1) 2-3-004-076 in the Kakaako Community Development District.
