Kalanimoku Building Window Repairs

Background
The Department of Accounting and General Services (DAGS) of the State of Hawaii is seeking to perform window repairs at the Kalanimoku Building. The goal of this contract is to ensure the integrity and functionality of the windows, specifically on the Makai side of the building, which requires immediate attention.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Re-seal all windows on the Makai side of the building:
- Thoroughly clean the area around the window frame.
- Apply sealant along the gaps between the glass and frame using either Sikaflex 1A Polyurethane Premium Grade High Performance Elastomeric Sealant, Masterseal SL1 Self-Levelling High Performance Polyurethane Sealant, or an approved equal.
- Smooth out the sealant with a specialized tool to ensure proper adhesion.

2. Clean all repaired windows.

Period of Performance
The contractor must provide a work schedule within two weeks after receiving notice to proceed, with a total performance period of twelve months from that notice.

Place of Performance
All work will be conducted at the Kalanimoku Building located in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must hold a valid State of Hawaii contractor C-22 license and have a minimum of five consecutive years of experience in window installation or repair contracting. Additionally, bidders must comply with all applicable federal and state laws regarding workers' compensation, unemployment compensation, payment of wages, and safety regulations.
