Installation of Mini Split AC Unit, Lanai Island

Background
The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) Division of Forestry and Wildlife (DOFAW) in Maui District is seeking quotations for the installation of a Mini Split AC Unit at their office located on Lanai Island.
The goal of this contract is to improve the working conditions within the outdated Quonset Hut structure, which becomes excessively hot during summer months, creating an uncomfortable environment for staff.

Work Details
The contractor will provide and install a new Mini Split A/C system with a capacity of 36,000 BTU.
The specific model required is a Daikin 36K BTU Mini-Split System (208/230-1-60) with heresite coated coils for corrosion resistance or a similar model capable of delivering expected results.
The scope of work includes:
- Providing and installing a 20 AMP circuit breaker.
- Running electrical wire in PVC conduit to power the new air conditioning system.
- Providing and installing a new concrete pad for the mini split condensing unit.
- Providing and installing a new wired programmable thermostat.
- Providing and installing schedule 80 PVC condensate drain lines (gravity drains).
- Starting up the system and ensuring it is fully functional.
- Delivering mechanical and electrical shop drawings/as-built drawings.
- Hauling away all job-related debris.
