Honolulu Zoo Non-Potable Water System Improvements, Job No. 25-P-09

Background
The Honolulu Zoo, under the Department of Design and Construction of the City and County of Honolulu, is seeking improvements to its non-potable water system as part of Job No. 25-P-09.
The estimated cost for this project is $365,000. The goal is to enhance the existing water system to ensure efficient operation and compliance with current standards.

Work Details
The project involves the rehabilitation and improvements of the non-potable water system at the Honolulu Zoo, including:
1. Replacement of valves, gauges, remote communication systems, pump controls, and SCADA systems.
2. Upgrading electrical components.
3. Miscellaneous work related to the project as specified in the contract documents.
4. Installation of a new remote communication system and pump control system, including main PLC and all appurtenances.
5. Installation of new pressure regulating valves, isolation and control valves, monitoring gauges, and all appurtenances.
6. Electrical improvements including replacement of pump electrical systems, circuit breakers, switches, dry-type transformers, HECO meter sockets.

Period of Performance
The contract work must be completed within 365 consecutive calendar days from the commencement date specified in the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Honolulu Zoo located at 151 Kapahulu Avenue, Honolulu, HI 96815.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with licensing requirements under Chapter 444, HRS relating to contractors.
They must also submit a signed certification regarding safety and health programs as per HRS 396-18 for bids exceeding $100,000.
Additionally, bidders are required to provide a breakdown of their bid in a sealed envelope marked 'Bid Schedule of Values Data'.
