Gilbert Kahele Recreation Area Administration (HQ) Building Repainting, Pohakuloa, Hamakua, Hawaii

Background
The Gilbert Kahele Recreation Area Administration (HQ) Building Repainting project is issued by the County of Hawai‘i. The mission of this project is to maintain and enhance the facilities at the recreation area, ensuring they are safe and visually appealing for public use. The goal of the contract is to provide necessary repainting services to the building located in Pōhakuloa, Hāmākua, Hawai‘i.

Work Details
The project consists of the abatement and removal of all loose and flaky paint on the exterior of the building from eaves to finish grade, including air monitoring.

The contractor will prep, furnish, and apply paint primer to all exterior surfaces of the building from eaves to finish grade. This includes rafters, walls, sills, trims, posts, deck, conduits, electrical apparatus, piping, exposed concrete, and related appurtenances.

The finish coat will be applied by others. Bidders must possess a valid State of Hawai‘i General Building Contractor’s 'B' License or Specialty Contractor’s 'C-33' License.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to be performed from the award date until completion. Bids are due by 2:00 p.m., Hawai‘i Standard Time on August 15, 2024.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Gilbert Kahele Recreation Area Administration (HQ) Building located in Pōhakuloa, Hāmākua, Hawai‘i.
