Background
The Department of Emergency Services (ESD) of the City & County of Honolulu, Hawaii, is seeking bids for the furnishing and delivery of a Special Operations Bariatric Transport Vehicle. This vehicle is intended to enhance the capabilities of the emergency services provided by the city.

Work Details
The contractor is responsible for providing a complete special operations bariatric transport vehicle that meets specific technical and performance requirements. Key components include:

- A new Ford F-550 XLT chassis or approved substitute with a minimum Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 19,500 lbs.
- A 6.7L PowerStroke V8 turbo diesel engine or approved substitute.
- Heavy-duty power-assisted braking system and four-wheel anti-lock brakes.
- Minimum specifications for various equipment including Knox Wi-Fi enabled MedVault, Motorola radios, and Whelen LED lights.
- The vehicle must have a licensed service and repair facility on Oahu authorized to perform warranty work.
- The contractor must provide technical assistance during the warranty period at no cost to the city.
- The vehicle must include specific compartments for storage, including SCBA storage and adjustable shelving, with detailed dimensions provided in the solicitation.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from the date of award until delivery of the vehicle, expected by March 31, 2026.
