The City and County of Honolulu is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) to procure two Rear Mount Aerial Platform Apparatuses for the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD). Work Details
The contractor is required to deliver two complete and fully functional Rear Mount Aerial Platform Apparatuses. Each apparatus must meet the following specifications:
- Must comply with DOT, NFPA, Federal, State, and City regulations.
- Must include a Motorola APX6500 700/800 MHz P25 trunking mobile radio system with specific components listed in the RFP.
- Must include Mobile Data Terminals (MDT) such as Panasonic FZ-40 Toughbooks with specified hardware.
- The apparatus design must conform to NFPA 1900 standards and include safety features, maintenance access, and operational training.
- The chassis must be the latest model year 2024 or newer.
- The apparatus must have a maximum GVWR rating of 82,000 lbs., seating capacity for at least five persons, and be capable of reaching a top speed of 64 to 67 mph.
Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon the issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP) and will continue until all requirements are fulfilled as specified in Appendix B: Term/Schedule of Work.
Place of Performance
The delivery location for the apparatuses will be determined by the City and County of Honolulu.
