Furnish and Deliver Dry Freight Van

Background
The Royal Hawaiian Band, part of the City & County of Honolulu, Hawaii, is seeking to procure a dry freight van. The purpose of this contract is to furnish and deliver a vehicle that meets specific requirements for the band’s operational needs.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish and deliver a Dry Freight Van as specified for the Royal Hawaiian Band. Key responsibilities include:
1) Preparing vehicle registration forms in the name of the City;
2) Ensuring compliance with all safety requirements;
3) Conducting a pre-delivery inspection;
4) Delivering the vehicle fully assembled and operational.

The vehicle specifications include a new conventional cab truck with a 26,000 lb. GVWR, gas or diesel engine with a minimum of 350 horsepower, automatic transmission, and various safety features including anti-lock brakes and reverse alarms. The dry goods box must be aluminum with specific interior dimensions and features such as ventilation systems and safety equipment. Final acceptance will be determined after testing by the City to ensure compliance with specifications.

Period of Performance
Delivery is required within 420 calendar days from the official commencement date indicated on the Notice-to-Proceed (NTP).

Place of Performance
Delivery shall be made to the Department of Facility Maintenance, Division of Automotive Equipment Service, Halawa Corporation Yard, 99-999 Iwaena Street, Aiea, HI 96701.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with the Motor Vehicle Industry Licensing Act in Hawaii and provide proof of compliance with various state requirements prior to contract award. They must also submit hard copy offers only; electronic submissions will be rejected.
