Five (5) Electric Golf Carts for HIDOE Henry Perrine Baldwin HS

Background
The Hawaii State Department of Education (HIDOE) is seeking bids to furnish and deliver five (5) electric golf carts for Henry Perrine Baldwin High School. The goal of this contract is to provide high-quality electric golf carts that meet the specific needs of the school, enhancing its operational capabilities.

Work Details
The contractor is required to furnish and deliver five (5) electric golf carts, specifically:

1. Two (2) Passenger Golf Carts - Model: 2024 or newer production, Kandi Turf King, Cushman Hauler 800X Elite, or equal. Specifications include:
- Battery Type: Lithium Ion
- Motor: 375 Amp Motor Controller
- Horsepower: 3.5 Kilowatt minimum
- Features: Regular full-width bench seat, canopy, windshield, headlights and safety lights, tail and brake lights, front and rear turn signals, side view mirrors, horn, parking brake.
- Warranty: Minimum 2 years.

2. Four (4) Passenger Golf Carts - Model: 2024 or newer production, Kandi Element, EZGO Express 4 Elite (Lifted), or equal. Specifications include:
- Battery Type: Lithium Ion
- Motor: 375 Amp Motor Controller
- Horsepower: 3.5 Kilowatt minimum
- Ground Clearance: Minimum 7 inches
- Features: Canopy, windshield, headlights and safety lights, tail and brake lights, front and rear turn signals.
- Warranty: Minimum 2 years.

All carts must be new and of the best quality with a warranty covering parts and labor against defects.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon full execution of the contract with delivery to be completed within one hundred eighty (180) days from the date of execution.

Place of Performance
Delivery will be made to Henry Perrine Baldwin High School located at 1650 Kaahumanu Avenue, Wailuku, HI 96793.

Bidder Requirements
Offerors must be authorized distributors or resellers of electric golf carts with an office based in Hawaii for immediate accessibility. They must also have a service facility on Maui with at least one manufacturer-trained technician for maintenance and repair services. Additionally, offerors are required to conduct mandatory criminal background checks on employees working in proximity to students. They must maintain liability insurance with specified coverage limits.
