Background
The State of Hawai‘i, Department of Health (HDOH), Family Health Services Division (FHSD), Children with Special Health Needs Branch (CSHNB), Early Intervention Section (EIS) is responsible for providing family-centered, community-based early intervention (EI) services for infants and toddlers from birth to age three with developmental delays or diagnosed conditions that may result in developmental delays.
The goal of this contract is to enhance the development of children with special needs and support their families through various EI services.
Work Details
The contracted Purchase of Service (POS) EI Programs will provide the following services:
- Care coordination
- Family training, counseling, and home visits
- Occupational therapy
- Physical therapy
- Social work
- Special instruction
- Speech language pathology
Services are to be delivered in accordance with the child’s Individualized Family Support Plan (IFSP). Applicants must submit separate proposals for each geographic service area they wish to serve.
Period of Performance
The contract term will be from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, with options for up to four one-year extensions. This could potentially extend the maximum length of the contract to five years until June 30, 2030.
Place of Performance
Services will be provided in various geographic service areas within the State of Hawai‘i.
