Background
The State of Hawai‘i, Department of Health (HDOH), Family Health Services Division (FHSD), Children with Special Health Needs Branch (CSHNB), Early Intervention Section (EIS) is responsible for providing family-centered, community-based early intervention (EI) services for infants and toddlers from birth to age three with developmental delays or diagnosed conditions that may lead to developmental delays.
The goal of the contract is to enhance the development of these children and support their families in meeting their special needs, in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
Work Details
The contracted Purchase of Service (POS) EI Programs will provide the following services:
- Care coordination
- Family training, counseling, and home visits
- Occupational therapy
- Physical therapy
- Social work
- Special instruction
- Speech language pathology
Services must be delivered in compliance with each child's Individualized Family Support Plan (IFSP). Applicants must submit separate proposals for each geographic service area they wish to serve.
Period of Performance
The contract term will commence on July 1, 2025, and run through June 30, 2026, with options for up to four one-year extensions. This allows a maximum contract duration of five years until June 30, 2030.
Place of Performance
Services will be provided in various geographic service areas within the State of Hawai‘i.
