Concrete Pad and Walkway, Aggregate Hauling, and Fencing Install

Background
The State of Hawaii, through the Department of Land and Natural Resources, Division of State Parks, is seeking bids for a construction project at Kokee State Park, specifically at the Puu Hinahina Lookout. The goal of the contract is to provide necessary infrastructure improvements including a concrete walkway and pad to enhance accessibility and safety for park visitors.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1. Excavation for a concrete walkway and pad to achieve proper grading;
2. Installation of a cast-in-place concrete walkway measuring 93 feet long, 41 inches wide, and 4 inches thick;
3. Installation of a concrete pad measuring 62 inches by 92 inches and 4 inches thick;
4. Use of State Class A 3,000 PSI concrete reinforced with galvanized welded wire fabric;
5. Ensuring proper drainage with a maximum cross slope of 2% on the walkway;
6. Compliance with all applicable safety and environmental regulations during construction.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to be completed within 180 consecutive calendar days from the date of written notice to proceed.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Puu Hinahina Lookout, Kokee State Park, Kauai, Hawaii.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed contractors in accordance with Chapter 444, HRS. They must also comply with Hawaii business requirements as stipulated in §3-122-112 HAR and provide necessary documentation including tax clearance certificates and proof of compliance with labor laws.
