AO1095-37 South Ramp Video Monitoring Access Control System

Background
The State of Hawaii, Department of Transportation, Airports is issuing this solicitation for the South Ramp Video Monitoring Access Control (VMAC) System at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii.

The project aims to enhance security and access control in the South Ramp area, aligning with the agency's mission to ensure safe and efficient airport operations.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
- Installation of a Video Monitoring Access Control System along the South Ramp properties;
- Demolition and installation of TSA-compliant chain-link fencing;
- Installation of access control readers and security cameras;
- Installation of automated vehicle gate operators;
- Development of a telecommunication and electrical network throughout the South Ramp area;
- Other miscellaneous improvements.

The estimated cost of construction is between $15,000,000.00 and $15,500,000.00.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii General Engineering 'A' license at the time of bidding. Additionally, compliance with HRS § 103B-3 requires that a minimum of 80 percent of the bidder's workforce on this project shall consist of Hawaii residents. Bidders are also encouraged to be party to apprenticeship agreements for a five percent bid adjustment.
