Ahuwale Ditch Storm Drainage Improvements Phase I, Job No. 11-21

Background
The Ahuwale Ditch Storm Drainage Improvements Phase I, Job No. 11-21 is a project by the City and County of Honolulu aimed at enhancing the existing drainage system. The project involves various components such as installation and maintenance of BMPs, clearing and grubbing, demolition and removal of existing structures, construction of concrete ditches, GRP ditch, GRP slope protection lining, shotcrete slope lining, identification and protection of native plants, on-site cultural monitoring, and site restoration.

Work Details
The major components of this project include installation and maintenance of BMPs; clearing and grubbing; demolition and removal of existing walls, ditch lining, chainlink fence and loose rocks and boulders; construction of concrete ditches; construction of GRP ditch; construction of GRP slope protection lining; construction of shotcrete slope lining; identification and protection of native plants, including relocation, replanting and/or replacement if necessary; on-site cultural monitoring during earth disturbing activities; site restoration.

Period of Performance
The completion of the work is required within 485 consecutive calendar days (approximately 16 months) from the official commencement date.

Place of Performance
The project will be performed at the City & County of Honolulu’s Access Parcel (TMK 3-6-20: 21) in Honolulu, Hawaii.
