Wayne/Montgomery Street Water Lines

Background
The City of Milledgeville, Georgia is issuing this solicitation for the construction of water lines on North Wayne Street and West Montgomery Street.
The project aims to enhance the municipal water infrastructure, ensuring reliable service for residents and businesses in the area.

Work Details
The work includes furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor for the construction of:
- Approximately 500 linear feet of 2-inch water line on West Montgomery Street, including taps, valves, services, replacement of 450 feet of sidewalk, and appurtenances.
- Approximately 1,150 linear feet of 8-inch water line on North Wayne Street, including jack and bore, taps, valves, services, and appurtenances.
- Abandonment of an existing water line on West Montgomery Street from N. Jackson Street to N. Wilkinson Street, Columbia Street, and N. Clarke Street.
This includes traffic control, fittings, a 4-inch insert valve, and replacement of pavement.

Period of Performance
The time allotted for construction is 180 consecutive calendar days.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed in Milledgeville, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a State of Georgia Utility Contractor License and employ a state 'Utility Manager' certificate holder who will oversee all work.
Proposals must include a Bid Bond drawn in favor of the City of Milledgeville for at least 5% of the lump sum bid for the complete work.
