Walker Rocks Park Trail Resurfacing

Background
Walker County Government (WCG) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for the resurfacing and extension of the Walker Rocks Park Trail located on the Walker County Civic Center Campus in Rock Spring, Georgia. The project aims to enhance the trail's usability and safety for the community.

Work Details
The project involves replacing approximately 3,215 feet of crushed/compacted stone with a solid surface such as asphalt or bonded rubber. Additionally, a new trail section of approximately 475 feet will be installed. Specific requirements include:

1. The aggregate surface on the existing 3,215 LF gravel trail must be a minimum of 1.5 inches thick and at least 8 feet wide with beveled edges preferred.
2. The new 475 linear foot trail section must also be a minimum of 1.5 inches thick and at least 4 feet wide with beveled edges preferred.
3. Pricing options should include different aggregate surface materials and additional width for the new trail section.
4. Exclusions from pricing include permitting and inspection fees (waived by the county), sub-base preparation, landscaping, and location of existing utilities.

Period of Performance
The project must be completed within 90 days after a notice to proceed is issued, unless an extension is agreed upon by both parties.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a minimum of three years' construction experience. They are required to submit an executed E-Verify S.A.V.E document and provide details about subcontractors involved in the project. Additionally, bidders must provide proof of insurance including Workers’ Compensation Insurance and Public Liability Insurance with specified coverage amounts.
