W.E. Honey Park Bathroom Project

Background
The Town of Thunderbolt, located in Chatham County, Georgia, is seeking qualified construction firms to provide services for the construction of bathrooms at W.E. Honey Park.

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to engage experienced contractors who can deliver engineering services required for both design and construction administration from concept to completion.

Work Details
The selected contractor will be responsible for the following:
1. Engineering services including design, permitting, specification and drawing preparation.
2. Demolition of existing facilities as necessary.
3. Overseeing construction services in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
4. Providing a complete set of design documents that include civil design, HVAC systems, lighting, electrical systems, plumbing, structural systems, and fire protection.
5. Securing all necessary approvals and permits for the project.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence immediately after the signed agreement and must be completed by January 7, 2025.

Place of Performance
All work will be performed on Town-owned property within W.E. Honey Park located in Thunderbolt, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with various requirements including:
a valid Contractor Affidavit under O.C.G.A. § 13-10-91(b)(1), proof of insurance with specified limits (e.g., $1 million general liability), and adherence to non-discrimination policies as outlined in the RFP.

Additionally, bidders must demonstrate experience on three similar projects completed within the past seven years.
