Background
The V.D. Parrott, Jr. Water Treatment Plant High Service Pump Station project is initiated by the Board of Water, Light and Sinking Fund Commissioners of the City of Dalton, Georgia, operating as Dalton Utilities.

The mission of this project is to enhance water treatment capabilities through the construction of a new high service pump station, which aligns with the agency's goal to provide reliable water services to the community.

Work Details
The work consists of:
1. Demolition of existing high service pumping equipment, piping, and structures located in three separate buildings on the site.
2. Construction of a new high service pump station with a firm capacity of 48 million gallons per day (MGD).
3. Associated yard piping improvements necessary for the operation of the new pump station.

The contractor is responsible for all labor, equipment, and materials required to complete this project and must arrange for temporary power with Dalton Utilities. Additionally, the contractor must cover costs for any necessary permits or licenses and ensure that post-construction conditions are restored to be equal to or better than pre-construction conditions.

Period of Performance
All work must be substantially completed within 610 calendar days from the notice to proceed, with final completion required within 640 calendar days.

The contract will be performed at the V.D. Parrott Jr. Water Treatment Plant located at 4410 Mitchell Bridge Road, Dalton, Georgia.
