Description

A. Invitation Notice is hereby given that the Macon Water Authority is accepting sealed bids until 12:00 NOON, at the time legally prevailing in Macon, Georgia on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 for a UTILITY VEHICLE. Bid envelopes should be CLEARLY MARKED on the outside as BID FOR NEW UTILITY VEHICLE and delivered to: Macon Water Authority Attn: Michael Bentley 790 Second Street Macon, Georgia 31201 The bidder acknowledges that the Macon Water Authority reserves full freedom (in addition to the right to reject any or all bids) in awarding bids to consider all available factors including, but not limited to, price, the provision of needed and unneeded features, usefulness to the using department and prior experience. The bidder recognizes the right of the Macon Water Authority to reject a bid if the bidder failed to furnish any required submittals on the date required by the bidding documents, or if the bid is in any way incomplete or irregular. The Macon Water Authority may award bids to other than the lowest bidder if in the judgment of its staff and with approval by its Board, the interest of the Macon Water Authority will be best served by award to another.

The contract involves providing one (1) new 2024 Polaris Ranger 1000 EPS Utility Vehicle or an equivalent model.
The minimum specifications include:

- Towing Capacity: 2,500 lbs
- Hitch Type: 2” Receiver
- Bed Box Capacity: 1,000 lbs

- Brakes: 4-Wheel Disc
- Ground Clearance: 12”
- Tires: 25”, with 12” Steel Wheels
- Wheelbase: 81”
- Steel Bumper with Winch Integration
- Person Capacity: 3
- Fuel Tank Capacity: 11 gallons
- GVWR: 3,600 lbs
- Halogen Headlights & LED Taillights.
Instrumentation includes speedometer, tachometer, odometer, clock, hour meter, fuel gauge, coolant temperature, and voltmeter.
Delivery is required to the Macon Water Authority at 537 Hemlock Street, Macon, GA 31201 within weeks after receipt of order.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and will require delivery of the vehicle within weeks after receipt of order.

Place of Performance
The vehicle will be delivered to the Macon Water Authority located at 537 Hemlock Street, Macon, GA 31201.
