Towns County Splashpad Design & Construction

Background
The Towns County government is issuing a contract for the design and construction of a splashpad at the Towns County Beach Park. The goal of this project is to provide a safe and fun new feature for the community, enhancing recreational opportunities at the park.

The project is funded through a matching grant from the NWCF and must comply with BABA (Buy America Build America) requirements.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following:
- Design and installation of a splashpad featuring 7 to 9 water features.
- Construction must include all necessary labor and materials, including concrete, water features, and safety surfaces.
- The design must utilize fresh water; recycled water is not permitted.
- Construction will involve building a wall to raise the project area to be level with surrounding areas, along with any other necessary ground preparations.
- Towns County will obtain all required permits for the project.

Period of Performance
The project is expected to be completed by May 1, 2025. Bids must be submitted by December 1, 2024.

Place of Performance
The contract work will take place at Towns County Beach Park, located in Hiawassee, Georgia.
