TCSG-419-DP Hank Aaron Academy Expansion & Renovation

Background
The Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission (GSFIC), as Owner, on behalf the Technical College Systems of Georgia (Using Agency or ''TCSG''), is seeking firms interested in providing Design Professional Services for a project known as TCSG-419 Hank Aaron Renovation & Expansion - Atlanta Technical College. The Henry Louis “Hank” Aaron Academic Complex is more than 55 years old. The proposed two-story renovation and expansion will support the mission of the college, serve students more effectively by updating existing academic classrooms and laboratories, creating the Center for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Advanced Manufacturing and the Center for Film and Media Production, and expanding One Stop services.
The Centers will be sites for curriculum development, rigorous career and academic preparation, and innovative practices, with a focus on apprenticeships.

Work Details
The project involves providing Design Professional Services for the renovation and expansion of the Henry Louis “Hank” Aaron Academic Complex at Atlanta Technical College. The project includes updating existing academic classrooms and laboratories, creating the Center for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Advanced Manufacturing, the Center for Film and Media Production, and expanding One Stop services.
The project delivery method will be Construction Manager-at-Risk (CM/GC). The preliminary Stated Cost Limitation (SCL) or construction cost of the Project is estimated at $21,385,000. The Design Professional’s services are anticipated to commence in accordance with the project schedule provided in the solicitation.

Period of Performance
The estimated timeline includes milestones such as Design Phase completion by October 31, 2024, Construction Start by November 30, 2024, Material Completion by April 4, 2025, and Open for occupancy by August 1, 2025.

Place of Performance
The project will be performed at Atlanta Technical College in Atlanta, Georgia.
